Koud is looking for a Performance Monitoring Engineer to work with one of our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Performance Monitoring Engineer to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of business-critical applications across cloud and hybrid environments. Using Dynatrace, the engineer will expand monitoring coverage, improve alerts and dashboards, define performance baselines, and support incident analysis and root-cause identification. The role involves collaboration with development, DevOps, platform, and operations teams in a global environment. Fluent English and experience working with international, multicultural teams are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Dynatrace monitoring for applications, services, and supporting infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments;
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Dynatrace components, including OneAgent, ActiveGate, and platform integrations;
  • Validate monitoring coverage and data quality for newly onboarded and existing services;
  • Establish monitoring standards for tagging, management zones, naming conventions, alert routing, dashboard patterns, and runbooks;
  • Create and tune alerting strategies using events, problems, anomaly detection, thresholds, and performance baselines to improve signal-to-noise ratio;
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and service health views for engineering teams and leadership;
  • Define and recommend performance monitoring KPIs, SLOs, and SLAs aligned with business outcomes;
  • Analyze performance and capacity trends, identify degradation or scaling risks, and recommend remediation options;
  • Support incident triage by analyzing traces, service flows, dependencies, logs, metrics, and user experience signals;
  • Lead deep-dive investigations into performance, reliability, and scalability issues;
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to isolate impact, determine root causes, and track remediation actions;
  • Integrate Dynatrace with ITSM and collaboration workflows to support ticket creation, alert enrichment, and ownership routing;
  • Automate monitoring onboarding and operational activities through APIs, scripting, CI/CD practices, and configuration-as-code approaches;
  • Partner with application development and DevOps teams to instrument services and embed observability throughout the SDLC;
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the monitoring knowledge base;
  • Provide guidance and training to teams adopting Dynatrace and observability practices.

Requirements:

  • Avanced experience in application development, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering, or production operations supporting cloud or hybrid environments;
  • Strong understanding of application performance monitoring and observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, dependency mapping, synthetic monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and SLAs;
  • Experience troubleshooting production performance and reliability issues using telemetry and structured investigation methods;
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, Windows and Linux, HTTP, DNS, load balancing, and networking fundamentals;
  • Experience with AWS or Azure environments;
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, APIs, or equivalent technologies;
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and their use in scalable monitoring onboarding and operational automation;
  • Hands-on experience with Dynatrace in enterprise environments, apply it to service onboarding, telemetry validation, dashboards, alert tuning, and troubleshooting;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills;
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken;
  • Proven ability to work effectively with global, multicultural, and distributed teams.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred;
  • Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a specific academic background;
  • Dynatrace Associate or Dynatrace Professional certification;
  • Experience administering Dynatrace at enterprise scale;
  • Experience with ITSM integrations and operational workflows.

Additional Information:
